||Photos by Eric Dobbs|
Effective for Weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, Anniversary Parties, and Other Events Booked on or after January 1, 2006. Prices subject to change without notice, unless frozen by contract. Virginia Sales Tax of 5 Percent will be added to the total of all charges.
All photographs are captured digitally. Digital versions of the images will be provided as follows: 1) A CDROM with all images that are printed for the Proof Book (described below); 2) A DVD or multiple CDROMs, depending on the equipment possessed by the client, of all of the images captured. (Closed eyes and other faults will result in the deletion of an image, unless there is some other compelling reason for retaining it). Up to 300 of the best images will be provided in a "proof book" as prints 4 inches wide on the short side. The images chosen for printing will be retouched for cosmetic improvements such as removal of temporary blemishes, softening of dark areas under the eyes, reduction of ruddniness, and some slimming where possible. The copyright will be released to the couple for reproduction as they see fit. Should the couple or others find it more convenient to do so, they may still order prints directly from me through a my online storefront.
For weddings, if either the bride or groom is an active duty member of the United States Military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard) a discount of $100 will be applied to the base price. The same will apply to veterans of recent conflicts (Vietnam and later). For weddings or anniversary parties the same discount will be applied for veterans of World War II and the Korean War. These discounts can be applied only once. That is, there is no double discount when more than one of the parties are in the active duty military or are veterans as described.
If the wedding date is between January 2 and March 15, a discount of $100 will be applied to the base price.
If the event date is on or between the weekend before Thanksgiving and January 1, a holiday surcharge will apply.
There is no charge for mileage and no requirement for lodging, if the event occurs within the Richmond Standard Metropolitan Statistical Area, which includes the counties of Amelia, Caroline, Charles City, Chesterfield, Cumberland, Dinwiddie, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, King and Queen, King William, Louisa, New Kent, Powhatan, Prince George, and Sussex counties plus the cities of Colonial Heights, Hopewell, Petersburg, and Richmond. Outside of that area, I require lodging plus $.75 (seventy-five cents) per mile auto expense. Mileage will be based on Mapquest calculations from my address in Richmond to the street address of the first venue. Additional mileage charges may be applied if subsequent venues connected with the event are a substantial distance from the first.
Digital images are captured in color normally, but they may be converted to black and white and manipulated to appear as if they were originally captured on conventional black and white film. Since each image must be treated separately, this will be quoted on the basis of the number of images to be so treated at the time the request is made.
The portrait session can be in studio or on location. Mileage rules above apply to location shoots. I will need to know the design of the dress and the length of the train in order to decide whether the portrait can be done in studio at my facilities. Any costs charged by the venue for location portraits will be paid by the bride or added to the cost of the session. An 11x14 print from a retouched image is included.
